Chunks. Chunks burn more slowly than chips, and often a chunk or two about the size of an egg is all that is needed for a lot of food. Because they are a slow, steady sources of smoke, they are in many ways, the most desirable. When you use chunks, you can add one or two at the start of the cooking cycle and you don't need to keep opening the unit and mess with the equilibrium in the cooking chamber's atmosphere. Chips. Chips burn quickly and you may find that you need to add them more than once during the cooking cycle. Chips are ideal for shorter cooking times, but for longer cooking, chunks are better.

Hickory Chips and Chunks | Hickory smoking wood creates a sweet, yet strong bacon-flavour; the smoke can be pungent, but it adds a nice, strong flavour to just about all meat cuts, but it's especially popular with pork and ribs. Maple has a mild and slightly sweet flavour |
Mesquite Chips and Chunks | This one is in a category of its own. It can be harsh and bitter if used incorrectly, but strong and have an earthy flavour if used correctly. It is an oily wood so it burns strong, hot, and fast. Since it burns so fast, it's not ideal for long barbecues. It's extremely strong flavour holds up well to dark meats, but it would be a terrible choice for lighter poultry or fish. Blending this wood is definitely recommended to get until you get to know how it works. |

Delivery
- After ordering online, expect an email confirmation from The BBQ Store Pty Ltd with your order details (if you have provided an email address).
- Order receipt is confirmed shortly after placing.
- Goods shipped via Aus Post or Courier Service within 1 working day, or longer if items are unavailable. You will be notified if there is a delay.
- Signature is required upon delivery (unless authorized to leave package).
- If you are not home during delivery, the parcel is held at the Courier Depot or local Post Office. Pickup must occur within 48hrs, or it will be returned to our warehouse.
- Re-delivery charges apply for items returned to our warehouse.
- Changing delivery address after dispatch incurs a $17.00 charge.
